Transitnet complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union to the United States. Transitnet has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, Transitnet commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information. EU individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our Privacy Shield policy should first contact Transitnet at support@Transitnet.io.
Transitnet has further committed to refer unresolved Privacy Shield complaints to JAMS Privacy Shield Program, an alternative dispute resolution provider located in the United States. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint from us, or if we have not addressed your complaint to your satisfaction, please contact or visit Demand for Arbitration Form for more information or to file a complaint. The services of JAMS are provided at no cost to you.

Transitnet collects a variety of information via the use of the Transitnet platform and at the direction of customers, and may not have a direct relationship to the individual s whose personal data those customers process. As an individual, if you have concerns about your personal information being processed, or if you seek access or want to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data, please contact us at support@transitnet.io and we will work with you and the organization responsible for processing your personal data to respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.

 

U.S. FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION ENFORCEMENT

Our commitments under the Privacy Shield Framework are subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

 

REQUIRED DISCLOSURES

USE OF THIRD-PARTIES

Transitnet engages a limited number of third-party service providers to assist in providing the Transitnet services, including for management of some aspects of the Transitnet platform and related support functionality. Transitnet is responsible for the processing of personal data it may receive under the Privacy Shield Framework, including subsequent transfers to third parties Transitnet engages whom are acting on our behalf. Transitnet may be liable in cases where those third parties Transitnet engages do not meet the obligation to process personal data in accordance with the Privacy Shield or other applicable EU data protection requirements.

 

YOUR CHOICES

We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
